Ender Balkir Concert
Ender Balkır was born on February 10, 1977 in Mazgirt, Tunceli. His interest in Turkish folk music grew over the years with the folk song adventure he started in his childhood and shaped his identity as an artist. Balkır, who did not break away from music while continuing his education at 19 Mayıs University, Department of Mathematics, stepped onto professional stages with his first album Ezim Ezim in 2007.
With the folk songs he sang, he added emotion to TV series such as Hanımın Çiftliği, Dila Hanım, Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman Ki; especially his folk song “Sızı in My Soul” in the TV series Çukur was highly appreciated. Ender Balkır reinforced his commitment to traditional Turkish folk music with his Ahir album and Harput album, where he interpreted Harput folk songs.
